Electrified Double Track

(Section 2 & 5)

Malaysia's Electrified Train Service (ETS), which serves the Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) network, is a popular mode of transport that connects the north and south ends of Peninsular Malaysia.

The main goal of the Gemas - Johor Bahru EDT project is to have the existing single rail line be replaced with a double track, stretching about 197 kilometers, and upgrading the existing diesel-only locomotive line to fully electric locomotives.
